Be inspired by the smell of books all around you as you set up at a table in the store’s cafe. While you write, you can enjoy a coffee drink, kombucha, or even beer and wine, and when you get hungry and realize you’ve been writing for three hours straight, just try a sandwich – the BAAT is delicious! The atmosphere is warm and literary so it’s likely to evoke some wonderful descriptions and alliterations from you.

Some writers just need coffee next to them to form coherent sentences. This adorable shop will be able to keep you going. The spacious shop serves up a deliciously simple coffee, as well as a perfectly balanced latte – the same latte that keeps Ben, owner of the cafe and co-founder of Cards Against Humanity, going all day as he manages two businesses.

There’s any number of libraries in Los Angeles, but Central is one of the best locations. The architecture is beautiful, and there are any number of stunning murals on the city. Additionally, you’ll have access to nearly every book you can think of, in case you need to research something.
