Celebrate the Fourth in L.A.
Los Angeles is home to some fabulous fireworks displays and festivities for the Fourth of July, including Americafest at the Rose Bowl. A full-day celebration with motorcycle stunts, inflatable rides, craft tables and more make for a family-friendly day of fun. Tailgate outside, or head indoors to experience patriotism at its finest, ending with a 9 p.m. fireworks display.
Pacific Palisades is your ticket to a beach-themed celebration, with the festivities starting at 2 p.m. with skydivers and a massive parade. Embrace nostalgia as the parade winds down Sunset Boulevard, ending with a concert and fireworks at dusk. With just a $10 entry, it’s one of the best and most affordable L.A. events.
Patriotism Done Right
The Hollywood Bowl has long been a favorite venue for the Fourth, with Smokey Robinson headlining. You’ll enjoy an incredible fireworks show, and an even grander time if you splurge on front section tickets. Kids under 12 get half-priced admission, so families traveling to southern California can get a steal on one of the best shows in town.
Head to Marina del Rey for a fireworks display over the Pacific. Burton Chace Park is a favorite spot, where local radio stations sync music to the fireworks. At Fisherman’s Village and Mother’s Beach, you can also snag a great view. The 20-minute show starts at 9, but arrive early to find your best spot.
