Summer Solstice Cemetery Tour
It all began in 2013, when Globe Main Street kicked off the first Summer Solstice Cemetery Tour to welcome summer in Globe in a unique way. The local, historic Globe Cemetery was created in 1878, and there’s a rich history behind this landmark. The first person buried there was Thomas Hammond, and his life (and death) story has intrigued visitors for decades.
Learn more about the city of Globe and its former citizens buried nearby. Local actors serve as guides, hosts, and bring history back to life. Storytelling and a few ghostly surprises are in store for this annual event. Get a sneak peek at what to expect during the Halloween tours and get to know Globe’s past in a fun way.
