Kodiak Salmon Riders offers experienced tour guides who will take you on ATV tours around the island, where you can engage in fishing or wildlife viewing.  You’ll surely see the bears the island is famous for, and you’re likely to catch all the salmon you could possibly eat (be prepared!).

Kayak Kodiak offers various tour options, depending on your goals, but a favorite is the Eco-Tour.  Spend two and a half hours with a marine biologist, who describes the local marine life, local lore, and the workings of Kodiak’s ecosystem.  You may get to see puffins, fish, otters, and even whales as you paddle around the island’s coastline.  It’s a fun and unique way to learn about Kodiak’s environment.

Head out on a motorboat for a day of fishing or sight-seeing, where you have the chance to see eagles, puffins, humpback whales, and orcas.  The captain has an incredible knowledge of the area, and can provide interesting facts about any wildlife you come across.  It’s a great and relaxing way to see the area – and warm, since the cabin of the boat is heated!

Air: Sea Hawk Air

Get on a sea plane and fly around Kodiak National Park.  You’ll get the opportunity to view wildlife from above, and from the ground when the plane lands for a short hike.  Every tour is different, as it depends on the weather, the day, and the animals, but they never disappoint.

While there’s plenty of fun things to do in Kodiak, the real draw is the animals in the national park, so be sure to take one of these tours so you get the best view!
