Featuring a modern approach to the Italian favorite, the flavors are always changing but you can count on staple flavors that pair perfectly with a local beignet.<\/p>\n

Angelo Brocato<\/a> can be found at 214 North Carrollton Ave. where gelato and other Italian sweets have been dished up since 1905. The old-fashioned parlor is flanked in pink, and favorite flavors include moka coffee, Sicilian pistachio nut, and vanilla bean. Try it with a cannolo for sheer decadence.<\/p>\n

The simple, charming shop is known for its amarena cherry, hazelnut and chocolate as well as rotating flavors like rose petal and biscotti. There are always 18 flavors available, so choosing is always the toughest part.<\/p>\n

Try Drip Affogato Bar<\/a> at 703 Carondelet St. where espresso is paired with gelato and ice cream for a seriously sweet pick me up. \u201cThe classic\u201d is a Tahitian vanilla ice cream with pistachios and stroopwafel with espresso poured on top.
