Audubon Aquarium of the Americas<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, situated close to the French Quarter on the Mississippi River, is frequently named one of the country’s top five aquariums in the USA Today “10Best” reader survey and is one of the main activities to do in New Orleans. The Aquarium transports visitors to an aquatic environment that ranges from the Caribbean to the Amazon Rainforest. With over 3,600 animals representing over 250 species, the Aquarium offers a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.<\/p>\n

Stroll down St. Charles Avenue on the streetcar<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is beautiful to watch the big Spanish Oak trees pass by while listening to the rhythmic click-clacking of the streetcar. In New Orleans, the streetcar passes through the Garden District and into Uptown. It costs $1.25 for a single ride, but you will need correct change, so bring quarters.<\/p>\n

Get Scared at the Pharmacy Museum<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The New Orleans Pharmacy Museum was founded in 1823 by Louis J. Dufilho, Jr., America’s first licensed pharmacist. The souls of deceased patients who were operated on by the pharmacy’s second owner, the wicked Dr. Joseph Dupas, are also supposed to haunt this building. A daily tour is included in the $5 admission fee.<\/p>\n
