Winter Cocktails To Keep You Warm In The Hotel

If it’s too chilly to go out in the evening, enjoy one of these easy-to-make cocktails from the comfort of your hotel room.

Cranberry Collins

Enjoy a seasonal twist on a favorite drink.  Combine 1.5 ounce vodka, 1 ounce orange liquor, 1.5 ounce cranberry juice, and a splash of lemon.  Shake well, then pour over ice.  Top with seltzer and you have a delicious drink!

Apple Sazerac

The Sazerac was originally invented in New Orleans, so it’s only fitting that you drink the apple version in NOLA as well.  Combine 1.5 ounce apple brandy, 1.5 ounce cognac, 0.25 ounce maple syrup, 4 dashes of bitters, and a short splash of water over ice and stir gently.  Garnish with an apple slice and a lemon twist.

Bourbon Smash

A bourbon smash is very easy to make and flexible, so you can adjust it based on personal preference or what ingredients sound great to you at the time.  Shake together two ounces of bourbon, 1 ounce of triple sec, 3 ounces of fruit juice (blood orange or pomegranate make good choices), and 1 tablespoon of coordinating fruit preserves.  When it’s well-blended, pour over ice and float a splash of seltzer on top!

Snowflake Martini

This snowy white martini has a clean flavor, reminiscent of fresh snowfall.  Shake together 1 ounce white creme de menthe, 1 ounce cream, and 2 ounces vanilla vodka, then pour into the glass.  For an extra burst of flavor, float a layer of Godiva’s white chocolate liquor on top!

New Orleans is king in the cocktail world, and you can even bring that into your hotel room!
