Under the Sea at Audubon Aquarium

The Audubon Aquarium of the AmericasLooming over the Mississippi River in the heart of New Orleans is the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas. This spectacular exhibit is home to over 10,000 animals and 530 different species and features  several regions throughout both North and South America. Just a short walk from the historic French Quarter dive into the world below the waters  and explore the life deep down under.

Children of young and old can enjoy so many of these exotic and interesting exhibits. Check out the rare white alligator or the Amazon anaconda and freshwater stingrays. The Gulf of Mexico exhibit features a 400,000 gallon, 17 foot tall tank of sharks and sea turtles.

Take advantage of the interactive experience with the penguins. Get a chance to feed them, pet them and interact while learning about the different types. Become mesmerized by the jelly fish as they change color while floating through their tank. And sea otters! Talk about some big cute things! Enjoy watching them relax in their habitat all the while entertaining you with their cute furry faces.
