The Best Bananas Foster in New Orleans

Brennan’s invented the bananas foster, and it’s the go-to place to begin or end your BF hunt. (It’s also where you’ll find some of the best turtle soup in the city!) You’ll also want to check out this flambé, table-side dessert experience at Stanley, which offers bananas foster French toast as another option. Complete with house-made ice cream, it’s just one of many vegetarian-friendly menu items.

The Court of Two Sisters is known for a decadent brunch buffet. Their BF pairs perfectly with their Courtyard Bread Pudding in whiskey sauce, so pace yourself. Set aside at least two hours for this experience, and don’t forget a cup or two of turtle soup, too.

A Culinary Gem

Arnaud’s Restaurant is one of the top rated destinations in the city. Known for Sunday brunches, turtle soup, and of course their famous bananas foster, going to Arnaud’s is a true experience. The Royal House Oyster Bar is also a contender where they have bananas foster and bananas foster cheesecake (try both!).

At Louisiana Pizza Kitchen, the bananas foster ice cream cake is a unique way to enjoy what’s traditionally a dessert served ablaze. Don’t forget the artichoke ravioli and chicken piccata as an entrée. Irene’s Cuisine is another BF mecca, but instead try their bread pudding and bananas foster sauce as the cherry on top.
