New Orleans Po Boy Festival
This time of year makes everyone think of turkey and stuffing dinner for Thanksgiving or a nice plump ham for Christmas, but here at BEST WESTERN PLUS St. Charles Inn it makes us think of the annual Oak Street Po Boy festival. Each year New Orleans celebrates one of the foods that we are most known for, the Po Boy. Fights have broken out over which restaurant has the best or who makes the most original but all fights can be put aside while tourists and locals alike come out to enjoy a taste of them all.
This year the festival takes place on Saturday, November 23rd from 10 am to 6pm. Come out and join the crowd in tasting many of the top choice restaurants as they compete for the coveted awards. Not only will you find great food and good company but you can kickback with your friends and people watch to live local music. With four stages each hosting a number of live, local bands, you get a little sampling of it all.
After a day of fun in the sun, a great time with your pals and a satisfied appetite, head over to see us where we will help you sleep the night away in the cozy comfort of our plush beds. It is the perfect way to close out another great year of fun and food.
