New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival
Locals simply call it Jazz Fest, and it’s one of the top celebrations of music, culture and heritage in Louisiana. Endless music, incredible delicacies, and artisanal crafts are all at the ready. Enjoy second line parades at this “Festival of the Year,” dubbed by Pollstar Magazine. The Wall Street Journal calls it “a showcase of essential American musical styles” and one of the best festivals in the entire country.
From April 27 – May 7, attendees enjoy 12 stages of music that runs the gamut from funk to African, Caribbean to folk, and of course, jazz to Cajun and so much more. The best artists in the state have performed here including Fats Domino, the Neville Brothers, Harry Connick Jr. and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. There’s always a diverse offering of international guests. Former performers have included Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell and Al Green.
