A New Orleans Holiday

There’s always a party, festival or other special event happening in New Orleans, and the city goes all out for the holidays. Start December with Christmas New Orleans Style (throughout December), which includes Reveillon, a dining experience from the mid-19th century where the top restaurants serve four-course seasonal meals. There’s also caroling in the square, touring decked out historical homes and much more with this event.

Cathedral Concerts take place throughout the month with jazz performers, gospel singers and classical artists. All events are free and happen at St. Louis Cathedral. Local bartenders around the city have been asked to whip up both unique and classic cocktails as part of the Reveillon, so ask your bartender what specialty drink they have designed to pair with the four courses.

Joy and Cheer

Celebration in the Oaks is an annual event where the city’s parks are lit up with thousands of twinkle lights. Stroll through the Oaks and discover stunning displays. It’s one of the biggest and brightest light festivals in America.

The NOLA Christmas Fest takes place throughout the month at Convention Center Boulevard. Treat yourself to holiday dinners, Santa’s carolers in the evening hours and fabulous decorations. Each year, there’s a competition to build the most creative bonfire on the Mississippi levees as locals blaze the way for St. Nick. You won’t want to miss the Bonfire on the Levee brigade!
