NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans

nba-all-star-new-orleansThe 63rd National Basketball Association All-Star Game comes to the New Orleans Arena on February 16, 2014.  The game is a showcase for the NBA’s biggest stars. The top voted players of the Eastern Conference against the top voted players from the Western Conference.

The All-Star Game is the featured event of All-Star Weekend. All-Star Weekend includes several popular exhibition games and competitions featuring NBA players, alumni, and players from the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

All-Star events will kick off on Friday, February 14, with the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge. They will continue throughout the weekend with NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm, the Sprint Pre-Game Concert, and the 63rd NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 16.

In addition to the sponsored events, more than a dozen corporations will be in the city as sponsors of the weekend. Adidas will operate a pop-up shop on Chartres Street in the French Quarter where athletes will make appearances. Foot Locker and Nike are turning the Foot Locker store on Canal Street into the “House of Hoops.” A performance artist, hosted by Sprite, will create an original work outside the French Market. Ciroc is turning the House of Blues into Club ene-be-a for a night.
