Making Memories on Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is a time to honor those who gave all while also ushering in the warmer months. In New Orleans, as always, there are plenty of options for the long holiday weekend. Both the Greek Fest and New Orleans Wine and Food Experience take place this weekend. Try homemade Greek fare on Bayou St. John, or join the coupling of hundreds of wineries and restaurants in the French Quarter for wine dinners at most of the popular restaurants.
Take time to visit the National World War II Museum, a must any time of year but especially prevalent during the holiday weekend. TripAdvisor has called it the third best museum in the country for 2015, and you’ll enjoy stunning galleries full of artifacts that bring history to life.
