Louisiana Seafood Festival

A city that’s famous for seafood is sure to have one of the most legendary seafood festivals around! The Louisiana Seafood Festival takes place September 2-4 during Labor Day weekend. Taking over New Orleans City Park is top-rated seafood, drinks, live performances and plenty of family fun. A slew of local vendors will battle it out for prizes and will be bringing crawfish, shrimp, oysters and more.

Just a few of this year’s vendors include Cafe Giovanni, Red Fish Grill, Acme Oyster and Seafood House, Drago’s Seafood Restaurant, and Galatoire’s. Musicians from around the state flock to the festival, and while this year’s lineup is partially secret, previous performers have included Kermit Ruffins and Amanda Shaw.

On the Side

You need some breaks between dining, dancing and drinking, and that’s exactly what the art village and cooking pavilion have to offer. Discover local artists, enjoy a craft station for the kids, or fall in love with local jewelry and textiles. At the cooking pavilion, you’ll see celebrity chefs in action including John Besh and Michael Sichel.

Parking is ample at the City Park festival grounds and free during the holiday weekend. All proceeds benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. Are you ready for your New Orleans seafood diet?
