French Quarter Fireworks Spectacular
You can always count on New Orleans for a spectacular party, and Independence Day is no exception. The days are hot, and this festival is hotter all along the Mississippi River banks at the Go 4th on the River Party. Enjoy the thrill of “dueling barges” as two displays go head to head with patriotic music. It’s a world-famous show at the tail end of a day full of food, fun and dancing.
You’ll find a number of steamboat cruises with fireworks if you prefer to set sail for the evening and get a little closer to the show. With a variety of prices and packages to choose from, you’re sure to find the right one for you. All along the river, from the French Market and Flea Market to the restaurants at Riverwalk Marketplace, there will be celebrations and live music.
Party All Night
Hop on the ferry to Blaine Kern’s Mardi Gras World during the day and see the patriotic floats of years past highlighted. Harrah’s New Orleans Casino is always a place to test your luck for the holidays while keeping cool.
Around the city, parks feature BBQs and shelters so you can make your own Fourth of July fun. Most spots along the bank and parks offer fantastic viewpoints for the grand finale of the evening. How will you be celebrating?
