Coming Up: Voodoo Festival

Get spooky at the New Orleans Voodoo Festival this weekend in the French Quarter!

Coming Up: Voodoo Festival

Music

Enjoy music from some amazing top artists, including Guns ‘n’ Roses (“Paradise City”), Brandi Carlile (“The Story”), Bea Miller (“I Dare You”), Beck (“Loser”), Young The Giant (“Cough Syrup”), Post Malone (“Better Now”), and Maggie Lindemann (“Pretty Girl”), to name a few of over 60 musical artists that will be performing over the three days of the festival.  This event is heaven for music-lovers, with the opportunity to see your favorite singers in a smaller setting than the standard stadium or arena.

Food

Over 20 different restaurants and food trucks will be available to keep your stomach full.  Enjoy a Jet Fuel from Petite Rouge Coffee Truck, or if you’re feeling a bit warm, a Hibiscus Sweet Tea, then indulge in a Mac&Cheezy from The Big Cheezy – the sandwich has bacon macaroni and cheese in between the bread!  The Jambalaya Guy will be present as well, with the Jamburrito, an amazing fusion concoction stuffing the seafood goodness of jambalaya into a tortilla.

Other Activities

In between music shows, have some fun at Casa Modelo’s booth, with face painting and blacklight art, or playing video games at the Voodoo Range Battleground.  Adobe will be offering a photo booth, with props and photo editing options, so you can commemmerate your good time, and if you’re in the mood to be scared, wander through The Mortuary Haunted house, complete with zombies in the graveyard – can you escape before they eat your brains?

Deja Voodoo

The fun doesn’t stop just because the festival shuts down for the night.  Attend the official after parties, with extra performances from festival artists – Bring Me The Horizon will be at the Fillmore and Peekaboo at Republic NOLA on Friday night.  Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers will be performing at the House of Blues on Saturday, and Sunday, wrap up with Krewella at Metro Nightclub!

Have a creepy good time at the Voodoo Festival and embrace the dark side of New Orleans!
