Did you know there is an entire 3 day festival devoted to southern fried chicken? New Orleans has got you covered with the National Fried Chicken Festival, running from September 20th to the 22nd.

The festival will be serving up, naturally, fried chicken. But not just any fried chicken. It’s pretty widely known that NOLA has some of the best in the country, and the best restaurants will be turning up with their takes on the classic southern dish. From Ma Momma’s House to Heard Dat Kitchen, there will be plenty of chicken for you to dine upon. Additionally, you can also try entries in the Best Fried Chicken Contest, and see who you think as the magical culinary touch. Once you’re full of poultry, hit Sno-La for a cheesecake-stuffed snoball!

The National Fried Chicken Festival is fun for the whole family. Kids can embark on a scavenger hunt through the venue, searching for objects in the hopes of winning a prize. Adults will enjoy the live music, covering a range of tastes. Performers include the St. Augustine Marching Band, Bounce Royalty, and DJ Raj Smoove, spinning today’s hits.
