From December 19th through the 31st, New Orleans is all decked out for the holidays, Creole-style! With a wide number of attractions, great food and beverages, and plenty of entertainment, people of all ages will love attending while visiting the city.
Ice skating isn’t easy to find in Louisiana, even in winter, but New Orleans pulls off a Christmas miracle and creates an ice skating rink, where you can show off your moves. After you take a spin, enjoy some of the winter-themed rides set up, from Alpine Avalanche to Rudolph’s Rocket. Kids will love jumping in the bounce house, and the whole family will have fun joining the snowball fight!
When you get hungry, you’ll find plenty of options around the event. Beignets, s’mores, and cookies abound, as well as heartier fare, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza. Kids will like indulging in a cup of hot chocolate to warm up, whereas adults have more grown-up options, such as eggnog daiquiris, wine, and beer.
Enjoy engaging in various crafts set up around the festival, as well as seeing the hung holiday lights and the beautifully decorated Christmas trees. There’s even a display of various ornate gingerbread houses!
