Over 70 chefs from across the country will come together to show off their culinary chops.  New Orleans’ own David Barbeau (Atchafalaya) and Gabriel Beard (Revolution) will be cooking, as well as Chicago’s Jimmy Bannos, Nashville’s Carey Bringle, and Paula DeSilva from Fort Lauderdale, to name a few.  Tickets include the chance to eat as much food as you can, from any and all of the chefs – start small so you can sample everything.  You’ll see everything from tamales to pate, crab to brisket.  Don’t miss Bringle’s kool-aid pickles – they’re a surprising favorite.

In addition to all the food you can eat, the event includes an open bar, where you can sample new and innovative craft cocktails, specialty beers, and various wines.  Don’t miss the tastings at Buffalo Trace Bourbon, learn about the wine-making process with Au Bon Climat, and enjoy the variety of brews offered by Abita Beers.

The one-day festival has an all-star lineup.  See Trombone Shorty, Fruition, Motel Radio, and Grace Potter (“Paris Ooh La La”) perform, keeping you rocking all day long.  Be sure to take a break from the food to enjoy a few sets and dance off some of those calories.

While you can certainly fill the day with the food alone, the festival offers some other activities you may enjoy.  A cigar bar will be set up for those who want to try some exotic tobacco brands, dessert stations will fulfill your sweet tooth, and a silent auction helps to raise money for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, mentoring youth through culinary and arts education.

Don’t miss NOLA’s Boudin, Bourbon, and Beer Festival this weekend!
