St. Paddy’s Weekend in New Orleans
Just when you though you had recovered from Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day rolls around. While not as crazy as Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day is still an event to remember with parties and parades lasting all weekend long. So you don’t miss out on any of the fun, we have a list of the weekend events for you.
Friday, March 14
Molly’s at the Market Irish Parade – 6 pm
Parade begins and ends at 1107 Decatur St in the French Quarter.
Saturday, March 15 & Monday, March 17
Tracey’s St. Paddy’s Day Party – 11 am til
An annual celebration in the Irish Channel – 2604 Magazine Street.
Come hungry and thirsty! Enjoy lots of green beer, cabbage and corned beef.
Parasol’s Block Party Celebration – 10 am – 8 pm
Enjoy music, green beer, food and surprises. Fun continues all day, both days.
Saturday, March 15
Italian-American St. Joseph’s Parade in the French Quarter – 6 pm
The Italian-American club kicks off this parade at Convention Center Blvd and Girod Street. With 16 floats, nine marching bands and lots of guys in tuxedos, it is sure to be entertaining.
Sunday, March 16
St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Metairie Rd. – 12 noon
The annual Metairie Road Parade kicks off in front of Rummel High School on Severn Ave. following Severn to Metairie Road, then Metairie Road to the parish line.
Monday, March 17
Downtown Irish Club Parade – 6 pm
The annual downtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at the corner of Burgundy and Piety and travels all the way to Bourbon St. Beware, the parade makes several ‘pit stops’.
