2014 Cajun-Zydeco Festival

Louisiana Cajun Zydeco FestivalJoin us this weekend for the Eight Annual Zydeco Festival. This year, we have a new location! Armstrong Park in the historic Treme neighborhood will be our new home. The renovated Louis Armstrong Plaza will be our host. Our lineup will be just as amazing as before so get ready for a great time.

Festivities last all day Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 beginning at 11am each day. The arts market will be hosting 25 of the best artists of the region selling handmade art, jewelry and other crafts. Browse the beautiful artwork while listening to some of the best music. Artists such as Lost Bayou Ramblers, Buckwheat Zydeco, Jeffery Broussard and Rosie Ledet will be preforming. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes.

As always, food will not be in short supply. Food and beverage vendors will be set up throughout the festival. There will be a wide array of food varieties to include Louisiana soft-shell crab, shrimp & grits, boudin, po-boys and alligator. Of course it will all be Cajun!  With temperatures soaring, misting fans will be set up for patrons to cool off but always take precautions and drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. The goal is to have a good time, listen to good music and stuff yourself with great food so take precautions to avoid dehydration.
