You can expect to see nearly every food truck in Anchorage at the festival, including Fat Ptarmigan<\/a> with their delicious pizzas – look for them near the beer garden.<\/p>\n

The beer garden is being run by Pioneer Bar<\/a> and Matanuska Brewery<\/a>, and will also be serving wine!<\/p>\n

If you don’t want to drink, Recover Alaska<\/a> is hosting a mocktail garden, featuring fun and creative nonalcoholic drinks, for people of all ages!<\/p>\n

Watch first responders engage in a series of athletic competitions during the Hero Games!\u00a0 With traditional contests such as the obstacle course, contests relating to their occupation like the “stretcher carry”, and fun contests like the donut eating contest, you’re sure to get caught up in the competitive spirit as you cheer on your favorite.<\/p>\n

From a giant sandbox to face painting to a petting zoo, there is plenty at the Summer Solstice Festival for kids to do!\u00a0 Even parents will want in on some of these activities.\u00a0 Don’t miss the puppet show performed by Steven’s Puppets<\/a> or the Circus performance from Chataqua Community Actors.<\/p>\n
